About Diana

Diana’s journey as an artist began with clay—drawn early to its weight and texture, the way it records touch, and the steady, deliberate rhythm of making by hand. She earned her MA and MFA in Ceramics from the University of Dallas, Texas, where she developed a strong foundation in glaze chemistry, form, process, and the quiet rigor of studio work.

Following graduate school, Diana spent six years as a resident artist at Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland, working within a vibrant clay community while developing her own work. She later moved to Phillips, Maine, where she established Bog Pond Pottery with her husband and built a large catenary arch wood kiln. During this time, her work was exhibited in galleries nationwide and at nationally recognized juried craft exhibitions.

After life changes led her to a small house on six acres in Madrid Township, Maine, Diana found herself drawn to new ways of working with her hands. Cloth and sewing began as a practical exploration, then gradually grew into a small online business—and more recently into thoughtfully designed bags, including totes, pouches, crossbody, and sling bags made for everyday life.

Over time, Diana’s work has evolved to balance functional objects with ceramic forms guided by curiosity and design. Every piece, whether clay or cloth, reflects a deep respect for process and an attention to form, color, and texture.

Today, Clay and Cloth Studio brings these materials together in a space devoted to making, learning, and sharing—honoring Diana’s clay roots while continuing the ongoing evolution of her creative path.
